The focus of the category decommissioning and waste management is the decommissioning of NPPs, research reactors and other nuclear facilities e.g. of the fuel cycle including licensing, legal aspects, radiation protection and radiological characterization. Other aspects of this part of back-end activities are automation, digitalization and industrialization of decommissioning, the treatment of fuel elements and radioactive waste as well as the transport of nuclear or radiological material.
